Daman – Jaclyn Osborn

daman

Synopsis

Love is messy. Being alone is easier.

Cursed with Envy, Daman has spent his life in the shadows. Relationships are too complicated when he’s in a constant battle with his very nature. His only focus is helping his half-angel brothers protect mankind from dark forces. With the son of Lucifer on the rise, stakes are high. Allies are needed. And then a proposal is made:

Marry Prince Warrin of the ice dragon kingdom for the sake of an alliance.

Daman’s just following orders. It’s nothing more than a marriage of convenience to strengthen their army. But then he sees another side to the seemingly emotionless dragon warrior. Shy smiles. And touches that leave him breathless.

Can two men forced into marriage ever be truly happy, or will their romance end before it even begins?

Daman (Sons of the Fallen Book 3) is an MM urban fantasy romance featuring an arranged marriage, forced proximity, first times, dragons, and Nephilim warriors representing the seven deadly sins. Each book features a different main couple, but the series must be read in order. HEA guaranteed.

My Thoughts

In order to solidify an alliance with the ice dragons, Daman agrees to enter into a marriage for alliance with Prince Warrin – the unwed brother to the king. But with Daman being the avatar of Envy, he isn’t about to make this easy. Thankfully, Warrin is patient, and understanding. And more than anything else – he feels drawn to Daman in a way he’s never been drawn to anyone ever before.

Their marriage may have started as one of political alliance, but neither of them want that to be the only reason they’re married for long. They’re falling for each other hard and fast. Warring is patient, kind, and understanding, which is exactly what Daman needs. Daman is terrified of letting himself grow close to anyone – even his brothers most of the time. But he knows that Warrin is his mate. And Warring shows Daman time and again that Daman can trust him with his heart and his soul.

They don’t have too much time to bask in their newly found marital bliss, though. Asa, the risen son of Lucifer, is looking for something. Or rather, one of his general, Belphegor, is manipulating him to get him where he wants him as Belphegor is on the search for something. What that something may be is yet to be known.

As the ice dragons and Nephilim prepare for battle, other alliances are formed along the way. This is building up to being a very, very long battle and I can only imagine what’s in store for our fallen sons moving forward. Three have found their mates, and there are four to go. Things keep ramping up immensely, and I have a feeling that there’s still a few twists and turns left to uncover.
