Castor – Jaclyn Osborn

castor

Synopsis

When Castor was captured by demons and forced to fight for his life in the underworld, he never expected to be rescued by a water dragon wielding a katana. He also never expected for that dragon to turn out to be his destined mate.

Too bad he has no time for romance right now. With the son of Lucifer building an army, Castor and his half-angel brothers are busy trying to stop the end of the world. But his attraction to Kyo is magnetic, and as the personification of Greed, he’s never been good at denying himself anything.

A trip to Greece brings Kyo and Castor closer in more ways than one, and neither man can fight their soulmate connection. But with a war on the horizon and enemies at every turn, will that connection be broken?

Book 2 in the Sons of the Fallen series featuring a smart-mouthed Nephilim and a dragon who loves picking on him, hot island nights, and seven warriors cursed with the deadly sins. Each book features a different main couple, but the series must be read in order. HEA guaranteed.

My Thoughts

When Castor was taken captive by demons, he fully expected to have to fight for his life. He just didn’t expect a water dragon – long believed to be extinct – to come and assist in his rescue. And every since, Castor can’t stop thinking about Kyo – gorgeous, nerdy Kyo who works with Simon at his antique shop.

Kyo is one of the water dragons who survived the war between the water and ice dragon clans – a war of his dead father’s making. He’s been told to keep a low profile, but he couldn’t help but jump in to help when Simon was also capture by demons. Since he helped Castor escape, the personification of Greed has gotten under his skin.

They try to convince themselves that what’s between them is purely physical. It’s just sex. But it really doesn’t take long at all for them to realize that it’s way more than that. They’re drawn to each other for a very, very good reason – they’re mates.

But other plans get in the way. Tatsuya, Kyo’s older brother and king of the water dragons, wants Kyo back home to take his royal responsibilities seriously. And that means giving up Castor, something Kyo is absolutely unwilling to do.

As Castor and his brothers try to forge alliances wherever they can, the risen son of Lucifer, Asa, and his demons remain quiet. Until they’re not.

It take Castor and Kyo almost losing each other for those around them to realize how important they are to each other. But this realization sets other plans in motion. Plans which could lead to an alliance with the ice dragons.

One by one, it seems that the fallen sons are finding their mates. Which ups the ante up a lot of notches. For the first time, Galen and Castor (and I’m sure the other sons to come) are finding true happiness, at a time when they truly have everything to lose.
